Trinidad's main maritime gateway, The
Port of Port of Spain has launched the latest edition of
its dynamic Port Handbook, produced exclusively for the Port by
specialist maritime publishers Meridian Publications Ltd.
The new handbook forms a key element of The Port of Port of Spain's
marketing efforts and highlights all the latest developments underway
at the dynamic Port, managed under contract for the Port Authority
of Trinidad and Tobago by Portia Management Services the
international consulting division of UK-based Peel Ports.
Coverage is included on many of the major members of Port of Spain's
maritime and commercial community.

Houston Airport System welcomes new look
The new-look edition of Airport Review, focusing
on the latest developments at the Houston
Airport System, has landed at the world's sixth-largest
airport system.
This latest full-colour review showcases the latest developments
at the Houston Airport System comprising Bush Intercontinental
the city's main international airport, celebrating its 40th anniversary
in 2009 and William P. Hobby and Ellington Airports, Houston's
domestic and general aviation gateways.
Coverage is also given to passenger and air cargo development,

Port of Kokkola showcases European AWT network
The
Port of Kokkola in Western Finland, ranked among the country's
busiest ports and one of the largest along the Gulf of Bothnia,
continues to go from strength to strength.
A new multi-million Euro investment programme, including a rotary
tippler terminal to handle increasing volumes of dry bulks, is ensuring
the Port is well positioned to handle every kind of traffic as it
builds its reputation as a key marine gateway for the CIS and Russia.
Kokkola is also the northern terminus for the pan-European All
Weather Terminal network. At 132m long, 62m wide and 35m high, Kokkola's
AWT is the largest in the network capable of receiving, loading
and discharging vessels up to 9500dwt at its enclosed dock area.
The terminal is primarily designed to cater for weather-sensitive
shipments timber, metals and general cargo that make
up a high proportion of traffic through Kokkola.
The new tippler terminal and the concept behind the AWT network
along with the Port's vision for the future is encapsulated
in the official 56-page publication Kokkola:The Port For All
Seasons, produced for the Port Authority of Kokkola by specialist
transportation publisher Meridian Publications Ltd.
